Guide Review - Turn It Off
We all want to work in alternative work arrangements to create more balance in our lives but for some, the balance is not there. If you spend too much of your time working and not enough with your family or relaxing on your own you need this book.
Learn how to define your time better and learn what "on-duty", "mid-duty" and "off-duty" are. Learning how to not work and get away from the technology that enables us to work in alternative work arrangements can be "easier said than done".
Mr. Gordon has included worksheets to help you examine your on-duty, mid-duty and off duty time to learn how you can create more separation between them and create more balance in your life. This book is very informative and well written. It is also a kick in the pants for anyone, including me, who realizes that I haven't quite mastered "turning it off".
I've begun to evaluate my time and examine how much time I spend doing various tasks that are work related and those that have nothing to do with work. With the use of examples and work sheets that help you identify patterns, Mr. Gordon has created a book that should be part of anyone's library.
